Imphal, Feb 28: In the past twenty-four hours, two persons (1M, IF) from general
population were confirmed as new COVID 19 positive cases, a state health department
report on Sunday said.
They were tested at JNIMS (1) and Raj Medicity (1) and were from Imphal East (1),
Imphal West (1). All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and
contact tracing were in place.
In the last 24 hours, there was no report of death. The cumulative number of deaths
was 373.
The total number of discharged persons was 13. They were from CAPF (9) and Home
Isolation (4).
The cumulative number of positive cases was 29,273 (General Population — 25,840
and Central Security Personnel — 3,433). The cumulative number of recovered cases
was 28,867 (General Population — 25,438 and Central Security Personnel – 3,429).
The number of active cases was 33 (General Population — 33 and Central Security
Personnel — 0). The recovery rate was 98.61%. (UNI)
