TPCC is very against Amit Shah’s disparaging remarks on Congress.
HYDERABAD, MAR 12 : G Niranjan, Senior Vice President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), vehemently condemned Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s disparaging remarks against the Congress during a meeting in Secunderabad on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Niranjan expressed his disapproval, stating, “Whenever there is an election in the country, BJP tries to create hatred and blow poisonous winds.”
He criticised the timing of the recent Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) notification, just before the election schedule announcement, as a tactic to reveal the true colours of the BJP.
Niranjan asserted that the BJP’s intentions, particularly concerning the Muslim reservation in Telangana, were confirmed by Amit Shah’s recent statement.
He emphasised that the 4 percent Muslim reservation, granted by the Congress government in 2004, cannot be cancelled by any power.
Dismissing Shah’s dream of winning 12 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, Niranjan labelled his statements as irresponsible and accused him of inciting tensions as the Home Minister.
He predicted that the BJP would not secure more than one or two seats in the upcoming elections in Telangana.
Niranjan raised concerns about the perceived alliance between BJP and BRS, stating, “The way Amit Shah spoke in the meeting indicates that BJP and BRS are one.”
He criticised Shah for alleging corruption charges against Congress and BRS, questioning the transparency of details provided, particularly in the case of BRS.
Refuting Shah’s accusations, Niranjan highlighted the well-known alliance between BJP and Majlis and accused the BJP of nurturing parties like Majlis to maintain its existence and provoke the people.(UNI)
