Telangana Chief Minister asks PM Modi to back state development
ADILABAD, MAR 4 : Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, on Monday, referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘big brother’ and sought his blessings and support for the development of the state and its people.
Addressing a meeting after participating in multiple projects launched by the Prime Minister, Revanth emphasised the need for Telangana to contribute to the centre’s vision of achieving the 5 trillion economy goal.
The state government is keen on maintaining harmonious relations with the central government for the all-round development of Telangana. He said, “We need your (PM) support to make Telangana develop just like you have developed Gujarat.”.
The CM urged the Prime Minister to continue supporting Telangana’s development, akin to the development of Gujarat state.
After the Congress formed the government in Telangana, we went and met the PM immediately to seek the centre’s help, he said.
Thanking the prime minister for ensuring the transfer of 195 acres of defence land for the skyways in the Cantonment area in the state capital and permission for a textile college, he said we need the continuing support of the centre and we are ready to consult the centre for the development of Telangana.
The CM sought the cooperation of the Centre in developing the Musi riverfront development project in Hyderabad.
Terming Mr. Modi as “Bade Bhai,” he said, “We want to develop the surroundings of the Musi River on the lines of the Sabarmati riverfront project in Gujarat.”
We also thank the PM on behalf of the people of Telangana for launching multiple projects, including power projects, national highways, and railway lines, among others, that will add to the development of the state, he added.(UNI)
