HYDERABAD, JAN 12 : R K Singh, Union Minister for Power, New & Renewable Energy, highlighted India’s achievement as the fifth-largest economy globally, asserting that it is poised to become the third-largest soon under the efficient governance of Prime Minister Modi.
Participating in the Vikasita Bharat Sankalp Yatra held at VAMBAY Colony, NTR Stadium, here on Friday, Singh explained that the Vikasita Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to create awareness about various government schemes among the people, especially those from the economically weaker sections.
He emphasised the benefits of schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for affordable housing, Ayushman Bharat for health insurance up to 5 lakhs, PM Swanidhi Yojana providing loans for business to street vendors, Jeevan Jyothy Bima Yojana offering low-premium insurance, and Mudra Yojana enabling collateral-free business loans.
Singh noted India’s status as the fastest-growing economy globally and emphasised the strengthened defense forces. He expressed confidence in India’s trajectory towards becoming a superpower in various aspects.
The Union Minister flagged off the IEC vehicle and unveiled informational material about central government schemes by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Singh also visited various central government stalls set up at the program.(UNI)
