Shinde launches the Mumbai-Ayodhya train service.

MUMBAI, DEC 30    :     Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Saturday that citizens of the state want the Railways to start a train service from Mumbai to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus station here to welcome the Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express train, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for starting this train.

Railways have undertaken works worth Rs 1.07 lakh crore in the state, he said.

“We all are happy that the state has got the seventh Vande Bharat train as this year ends today,” he said and added that once the Prime Minister decides something, the project or programme is completed in a time-bound manner.

The Railways has planned to run Vande Bharat trains from Mumbai to Solapur, Mumbai to Shirdi, Mumbai to Madgaon, Mumbai Central to Gandhinagar, Nagpur to Indore and Nagpur to Bilaspur.(UNI)
