A call regarding a blast near the Israel embassy is received by Delhi Police.
NEW DELHI, DEC 26 : Delhi Police on Tuesday evening received a call about an alleged blast near the Israel embassy.According to police, a PCR call was received at around 17:53 hours about a sound-like blast near the Israel embassy.
Considering the sensitivity of the location and mention of explosion type sound, senior officers rushed to the location. Delhi Police team along with a dog squad, Crime unit and Bomb Disposal Squad reached the spot where the alleged sound of the explosion was reported to have been heard. Soon, experts from FSL also reached there to investigate the matter, police said.
The experts examined the spot, lifted exhibits that may have evidentiary relevance, the same were being sent for forensic examination, police said.
The Delhi Fire Services team also rushed to the spot and scanned the area. After scanning the spot, Delhi Fire Services chief Atul Garg claimed that nothing was found in the area.
DFS received a call of a blast near the Israel Embassy in the evening. “So far nothing has been found in the spot,” claimed Garg.
Responding to media queries, a member of the Crime team claimed nothing was found after searching the area.
Ohad Nakash Kaynar, Deputy Ambassador of Israel to India, told a News channel that this evening an explosion was reported near the Israel Embassy in India. All staff and diplomats are safe. Our security teams are working in full cooperation with Delhi Police, and they will investigate the matter.(UNI)
