CEO Telangana recognizes creathon-2 competition winners to raise awareness of voting
HYDERABAD, DEC 22 : In an effort to raise awareness about the value of democracy and the significance of active participation in voting, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Telangana organised a series of programs, including competitions conducted under Creathon.
Vikas Raj, CEO, and Manisha Saboo, President of HYSEA, presented cheques to the winners during a meeting held on Friday at the CEO’s office.
A total of 12 winners were recognised, with four securing first prizes of Rs 20,000 each and eight achieving second prizes of Rs 10,000 each. The competitions, conducted in October by Creathon-2 under SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation), comprised two phases.
The first phase aimed to encourage eligible voters to enroll in large numbers, while the second phase aimed to motivate them to cast their votes without fail on election day. These initiatives were a joint effort between the CEO’s office and HYSEA.
In the (Video) category, winners included M.A. Jawad, Vadai Vijay, Rakesh Konapakala, Omer Osman Ali, Sriramula Bhavani, and Vamshi Muthyapu. In the Info-graphic category, Sandeep Jakkula, Vaddepally Venkatesh, Wajeed Ullah Khan, Shirisha, Denchanala Arun, and Mallesh Yasarla received recognition. The competition saw a total of 459 entries for the photo category and 132 entries for the video category.
Sesha Rao, Executive Director, Neeraja, Director, Shanti, Associate Director, and Radhika, Asst. Manager from HYSEA, along with TSV Raman, CEO, and Sonu Singh, Team Lead from Code TANTRA, Srikanth Sinha, CEO from TASK, and Sarfaraj Ahmad, Joint CEO from the CEO’s office attended the Creathon-2 meeting.
The Creathon-2 meeting showcased the commitment of various organisations towards fostering civic engagement and promoting the importance of voting in a democracy, a statement said.(UNI)
