Swargate-Katraj Metro proposal to be sent to the center: minister

NAGPUR, DEC 20   :   Minister Uday Samant on Wednesday told the Maharashtra Assembly that a proposal of Swargate-Katraj underground metro in the city will be sent to the central government with approval of the state Cabinet.

While replying to a question raised by member Bhimrao Tapkir in the lower house on expansion of stations in Pune Metro Phase 1 and 2 lines, he said that after the Swargate to Katraj Metro proposal goes to the central government, the state government will do follow-up and get it approved.

Also, DPR of 25.65 km Khadakwasla to Khadari Metro line, submitted to the state government, will be sent to the central government with approval of the Cabinet, he informed.

Pertaining to demand that the last station of this metro line should be the Khadakwasla Dam, a proposal has been submitted to the government along with the feasibility report and the state government will take a decision on it, added Samant.(UNI)
