Power transfer is certain, according to CPI National Secy in AP
HYDERABAD, DEC 18 : Communist Party of India (CPI) National Secretary Dr K Narayana clarified that power transfer is inevitable in Andhra Pradesh as well.
Addressing the media here Monday, he criticized Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, stating that Jagan has committed more mistakes than the alleged fraud by former Chief Minister and BRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) in the name of Dharani.
Dr Narayana announced that the CPI will contest one Lok Sabha seat in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He highlighted that the lack of an alliance with the communists led to the Congress’s defeat in three states, emphasizing that the national leadership of Congress should consider this a lesson.
He attributed the Congress’s losses in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh to its divisive tendencies and stressed the importance of inclusivity, citing the Congress’s success in Telangana due to its inclusive approach.
Expressing his displeasure, Dr Narayana questioned the inclusion of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s photos in passbooks and criticized Jagan’s governance, claiming that people strongly oppose him. He accused the BJP of being against the interests of Telugu people and alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy is favoring the BJP.
Dr Narayana suggested that the Congress government focus on improving efficiency rather than cutting costs, emphasizing that retired officers should not be burdened with additional responsibilities.(UNI)
