MUMBAI, DEC 12  :   The rupee on Tuesday fell two paise to close at 83.39 on rising demand for the US dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.

No major fluctuations were seen during the day. The domestic unit rose one paisa at 83.36 in early trade and settled at 83.39, easing two paise as compared to its previous close.

The rupee recorded intraday highs and lows at 83.35 and 83.41, respectively, the dealer added.(UNI)
