Hamirpur (HP), Feb 20 : Badsar police of the district has arrested one person named Rajpal Singh of Bharedi village of the galore area of the district for keeping 34 grams of charas in his possession.
The man is a government employee of the education department.
SP, Hamirpur, Gokulchandran Karthikeyan said last evening that during a nakabandi in Phahal village of the district, the police found a man coming on a motorbike. However, after seeing the police, he tried to return and started running backward. On this, the police personnel intercepted him and recovered a packet containing the charas that he threw on the road.
He said that a case under NDPS act had been registered against the man.
The SP said that the man was being interrogated by the police. (UNI)
