GUNTUR, DEC 11   :   The YSRCP has suffered a big blow in Guntur district as its Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy has quit the party and resigned to the MLA post.

Disclosing this at a press conference in Mangalagiri on Monday, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy said that he had decided to quit the YSRCP due to personal reasons. He said that he had also resigned as MLA. Since the Assembly Speaker was not available he had handed over his resignation letter to the OSD of the Speaker, he said.

Stating that it is painful to quit the YSRCP and resign to his MLA post, he said he had decided to quit the party and resign to the MLA post due to personal reasons. When asked what the personal reasons were, he said that he would disclose at an appropriate time.

Meanwhile, according to sources, Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram confirmed that his OSD told him that Alla Ramakrishna Reddy handed over his resignation letter to the MLA post.(UNI)
