If arrested, Delhi Minister Kejriwal will run the government out of jail.
After the meeting, Bharadwaj told media persons, “No provision in Constitution that mandates resignation of Chief Minister if they are placed in jail for a trial.”
Expressing his apprehension, Bharadwaj said, “CM Arvind Kejriwal will take decisions and hold meetings with his cabinet and officials while in jail, and MLAs will execute them on ground.”
At the same time, Delhi Minister Atishi said, “We will not let trust of people of Delhi break due to any false conspiracy. CM Kejriwal will continue to serve people even from jail.”
During the meeting, Atishi said that today there was a meeting of all MLAs with the CM Arvind Kejriwal where all the MLAs shared the public opinion with the CM. “They (MLAs) shared that people are of the view that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is mistreating the AAP and has crossed all the limits,” alleged Atishi.(UNI)
