The TDP requests that the AP governor take action on Chandrababu Naidu’s health

VIJAYAWADA, OCT 14 : Maintaining that the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is a high-profile politician, TDP politburo member Bonda Umamaheswara Rao here on Saturday demanded the immediate intervention of Governor Justice S Abdul Nazeer and direct the jail authorities to provide needed medical treatment to the party National President.
Talking to the media, Umamaheshwar Rao said that Chandrababu Naidu is a high-profile leader and he should be provided with minimum facilities and Medicare in the prison.
Making it clear that the TDP Chief has every right to get minimum basic facilities and Medicare as he is under judicial remand, Bonda said that no one has the right, including Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, to deny this to Chandrababu.
The Tadepalli palace team knows much better about Chandrababu’s health condition than his wife and daughter-in-law, the TDP politburo member remarked.
As per the provisions of 1037, 385 and 386 of the Jail Manual, the prison authorities should extend certain facilities to those who are under judicial remand and they should be provided with Medicare when their health condition is not good, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao said.
It may be mentioned here that former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been in the Rajahmundry central prison since September 9 in the skill development scam case and he is suffering from skin allergy and dehydration.
A team of government hospital doctors visited the prison on Friday and examined Naidu.(UNI)
