KOLKATA, OCT 10 : Aakash Aath, an Entertainment Channels, is all set to host the 7th Edition of ‘Raat Pohalo Sharodo Praate’ from the night of October 13, starting 8:30 pm till 4 am, on October 14 to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Mahalaya.

‘Raat Pohalo Sharodo Praate’ will be a glorious, night-long Live musical extravaganza celebrating one of the world’s most prestigious and biggest festival, Durga Puja. Mahalaya signifies the pious advent of Devi Durga for a much – awaited nine days’ long celebration across cities, towns and villages of Bengal. The show will bring forward evergreen Durga Pujo special songs that gives rise to an ecstatic storm of nostalgia.

‘Raat Pohalo Sharodo Praate’ will feature leading singers of the industry like Keka Ghoshal, Sujoy Bhowmik, Arpita Chakraborty, Subhash Biswakarma, Padma Palash, Mekhla, Manisha, Anindita, Pranay and Soumi

Aakash Aath will maintain the same tradition with the essence of Pujo, during these five days. ‘Good Morning Aakash’ will bring forward a plethora of musical performances throughout the days of Pujo. The lineup of singers will be as follows: On Sasthi – Manomoy Bhattacharya and Sampa Kundu, on Saptami – Upal and Aninda from Chandrabindoo, on Astami – Aritra, Chandrika, Suchismita and Abhisek, on Nabami – Sovan Ganguly and Urmi Choudhury and on Dasami – Raktim, Jyoti, Sohini and Rahul.

The delicacies of Kolkata hold a huge significance in the days of Pujo. From the royal dishes to a variety of street foods, the list remains unending. Aakash Aath plans to cater to the Pujo palate craving and love for food via their immensely popular culinary show Radhuni, as there lies a special line up where the highlight will be the cuisines from “Bonedi Barir Pujo” and the selected delicacies that has catered to the Pujo food cravings over the years.
