Union Minister Pralhad Joshi to unveil mining exhibition in Kolkata

KOLKATA, OCT 9 : Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi will inaugurate the four-day 10th International Mining, Steel and Metallurgy exhibition slated to begin on November 6 at the picturesque Eco Park here, official sources said on Monday.

Billed as one of the breakthrough exhibitions and conferences of India, the mega event will unveil many related B2B meetings which will be held as concurrent events.

The 10th Asian Mining Congress (AMC) will be showcased at the same venue during the four-day session.

This is of great significance considering that India is presently the largest crude steel producer in the world and construction is one of the key growth drivers.

Participants from more than 30 countries are likely to attend the event which is likely to witness a footfall of 25,000 high-value business visitors, close to 15,000 trade visitors and 1,000 delegates besides several trade delegations from Australia, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Iran, the UK, and the USA.

Organisations from such mega sectors as Steel, Metallurgy, Alternate energy sources, and Electric Vehicles along with Mining, Minerals and allied industries, will participate in the event. (UNI)
