Family rule in Telangana to end in the next Assembly elections: J P Nadda

HYDERABAD, OCT 6 : BJP National President J P Nadda on Friday criticised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s rule, stating that it resembled the era of the Rajakars, and asserted that family rule must come to an end in the upcoming assembly elections.

Addressing the BJP state council meeting held at VBIT College in Ghatkesar, on the outskirts of the city, Nadda responded to the claims of BRS leaders, who asserted that the Centre was not allocating funds. Nadda clarified that the NDA government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had allocated Rs nine lakh crore over the past nine years.

While detailing the allocation of funds, the BJP National President mentioned that the Centre had announced the establishment of a Tribal University and a Turmeric Board for Telangana.

He acknowledged that regional parties like the BRS had emerged due to the neglect of regional aspirations by the Indian National Congress. However, he also noted that regional parties had transformed into family-centric parties over time.

Nadda labelled the BRS as a family-centric party and sent a message to CM KCR that “It will all be over in the next election.”

Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy expressed confidence over BJP’s prospects in the upcoming Telangana elections. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation in the Palamuru Nizamabad Sabha, where foundation stones for various development projects in Telangana were laid. Reddy also emphasised the people’s deep faith in Modi.

Reddy criticised KCR for his handling of Dalit issues, alleging that he had reneged on his promise to provide three acres of land. Reddy also questioned KCR’s right to criticize the BJP’s job creation efforts.

He accused the Congress of being responsible for the deaths of students during the Telangana movement and argued that they had no right to seek votes in Telangana.

Reddy stated that without the BJP, the Telangana Bill would not have been passed in Parliament. He questioned KCR’s participation in the voting when the Telangana Bill was introduced and asserted that such a person had no right to rule Telangana.

Reddy accused KCR for alleged land sales, the opening of liquor shops..

Reddy accused KCR of allying with the Majlis and descendants of the Nizam and claimed that BJP’s strength in Telangana had increased following Modi’s visit.

He expressed concern about the state of Telangana and alleged that conspiracies were being hatched to enroll Muslim names in the voter lists of other areas.

Reddy accused MIM of seeking power with the help of Congress and BRS, claiming that BRS candidates were approaching MIM candidates with pleas not to contest.

He held the Congress party responsible for various problems in the state and called on party MLAs to be prepared for the upcoming assembly meetings in December. (UNI)
