It’s unfair that SPSC allows anyone to show up for the Mains: Arindam Bhutia

Gangtok, May 9 ;Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) has allowed all candidates who appeared for the preliminary examinations for Sikkim Services (Combined Recruitment), Examination 2022, to sit for the main examination as well.
The youngsters, particularly educated youth have expressed shock at such a happening.
Exams for the 62 posts of Under Secretaries, Deputy Superintendents of Police, and Accounts Officers were expected to be rescheduled following reports of cheating at different centres. But the next step has now been revealed to the public.
Sikkim Democratic Front Party’s student wing spokesperson Rinzing Bhutia has strongly condemned the notification allowing those who followed the rules of SPSC to appear for Mains and those who ignored, them to appear en masse.
SPSC either needs to re-conduct the exam or be scrapped by authorities. Candidates who have studied hard, taken out loans to attend coaching classes, and now have been placed on par with those who allegedly cheated, without restrictions.
Despite authority and high-level inquiry committee admitting mistakes, they sent up all indiscriminately for mains?Rinzing Bhutia stated.
He was supported by Vandana Sharma and Ram Gurung executive members saying this was an official statement of SDF.
‘Even though CM PS Tamang assured the public that the matter would be dealt with fairly, there has been no re-examination. On one hand, Government has been giving priority to education, on the other protecting the guilty. The most reputed Sikkim Public Service exam has become an object of mockery. We are losing faith in SPSC. Why is action not taken? In other States including Arunachal Pradesh, the Government took exemplary action against the guilty, including officers,’ added
