Latur, May 9 : In view of Karnataka assembly elections polling on May 10 and counting on May 13 ,the sale of liquor will be closed in the vicinity of the Karnataka border i.e. five kilometers from the border in Latur district.
An official press statement on Tuesday stated that from 48 hours before the end of the polling process to the end of the polling, as well as on the day of counting of votes, the sale of liquor will be closed in the said area.
According to this order, Hotels in this area will also remain closed.
Strict action will be taken against the licensees who fail to implement this order, as well as those who violate it, the statement added. (UNI)
