KAKINADA (ANDHRA PRADESH), DEC 9 : A 45-year-old farmer, who is returning home on his motorcycle from his paddy field on Friday noon was killed when a palmyra tree (toddy palm ) fell on him at Gorripudi village of Karapa Mandal in Kakinada Rural Constituency due to heavy winds in the wake of Cyclonic Storm.
His head was crushed under the tree trunk.
Karapa police who registered a case identified the deceased as Auruvilli Subbaraju.
Pending further investigation, the body was shifted to Government General Hospital here for post-mortem, police said.(UNI)
