Mamata visits Ajmer Sharif and Pushkar Temple.

KOLKATA, DEC 6 : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday visited Ajmer Sharif Darga iin Rajasthan and offered prayers at the tomb of Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti.

Taking to her Twitter, Banerjee said, ” It was heartwarming to visit Ajmer Dargah Sharif today.”

“I offered my prayers and wished for the welfare of each and every person in our nation. It was an honour to meet the Dewan Ji at the dargah sharif. India’s uniqueness lies in celebrating its diversity,” she said

Later, the chef minister visited the famous 14th-century Brahma temple and offered prayers. Situated close to Pushkar Lake, it is one of the few temples dedicated to the Hindu creator-god Brahma in India and remains the most prominent among them.

The chief minister said, “The amalgamation of various cultures and traditions is the essence of our nation, and preserving the beauty in its diversity should be our sole purpose.”

“I believe unity is our strength, and maintaining peace and brotherhood is our duty. Let’s continue to spread love and happiness among people, and ensure that every Indian lives a prosperous life,” Banerjee added. (UNI)
