DUBAI, NOV 29 : Several swimmers in the crowded Dubai beach were startled when a huge shark followed its prey just a few feet away.
Vacationers were swimming in the sea off the coast of Dubai when the predator paid a call, according to the Sun.
The shark was searching the waters around Qatar, where the World Cup is being held, when it was seen off the coast of Kite Beach in the Persian Gulf.
Video footage shows the shark swimming down the shoreline, which is a favourite spot for kite surfers, in frightful scenes. It seems to be swimming toward a lone female swimmer.
Then, the Sun claimed, a lifeguard can be heard frantically attempting to warn her as the shark draws near.
The vulnerable swimmer carefully moves to the side before paddling away as soon as she becomes aware of the danger. She does this while looking over her shoulder.
The woman and another swimmer make their way to safety as the shark’s fin gets closer to the land.
According to the article, the incident gained over seven million views after being shared on TikTok.
Due to possible shark dangers, beachgoers are only permitted to swim in the ocean until dusk.(PHN)
