Chennai, Aug 2 : Officials of Customs Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) today
seized one gold bar with foreign marking and weighing one kg and valued
at Rs 46.13 lakh from the lavatory of an Indigo airlines flight which arrived
here from Singapore today morning.
Airport sources said acting on specific intelligence, the AIU officers recovered
the gold bar from the rear lavatory of the flight.
The recovered gold bar was seized under the Customs Act, 1962.
Further investigations are under progress.(UNI)
