Infosys co-founder Sudha lauds Sri Padmavati Hrudayalaya in Tirupati

Tirupati, Aug 2 : Infosys co-founder and former TTD Board member, Sudha Narayana Murthy on Tuesday lauded the services of Sri Padmavati Hrudayalaya (SPH) here and also the environment which is superior than the Corporate hospitals in the country.
During her visit to the hospital, Ms Narayana Murthy went around the ICU, General wards, Operation Theatres and also interacted with parents and children who had come from Bangladesh and West Bengal.
She lauded the free services and quality medical procedures performed at the Children’s hospital and appreciated the doctors and para-medical staff for their selfless and committed services.
Speaking on the occasion, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer A V Dharma Reddy said over 500 heart procedures have been performed within a 6 months span of time since the inception of the hospital wherein even a few days (six days) old infants were also successfully treated.
He said the SPH was fully geared to undertake heart transplant operations costing ₹20-25 lakh and TTD was making efforts to procure the sophisticated equipment needed.
During the interaction with a Bangladeshi patient’s father Mohammed Abul Kasan, the Infosys co-founder said that it was the greatness of India that with the benign blessings of Sri Venkateswara Swamy free medical services are provided to anyone on humanitarian grounds irrespective of their caste, creed and religion.
Kasan’s five-year-old daughter Shaheeba, with a hole in the heart has been admitted for the operation and he complimented the hospital and TTD both for their hospitality, services and other facilities.
He said after sending his child’s medical records by email, Dr Srinath Reddy had asked them to come on July 24 and the operation was performed on July 29 without a single paisa expenditure.
He also complimented the doctors and para-medical staff for their dedication in extending the quality services.(UNI)
