Mumbai, July 12 :Maharashtra had reported 1,189 Covid-19 cases and two deaths, the health bulletin stated on Tuesday.

With these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,06,424 and the death toll stands at 1,47,978.

At least 1,529 people were discharged, taking overall count of recoveries to 78,39,208.

The state’s recovery rate has significantly come down to 97.93 per cent and fatality rate at 1.84 per cent.
At present, there are 18,027 active cases in the state.

Meanwhile, Marathwada region has reported 62 Covid cases — 39 in Jalna, 21 in Osmanabad and 2 in Beed, the bulletin added.(UNI)
