Five new shows to watch on Indian TV
New Delhi, July 11 : The Indian entertainment industry has evolved immensely over time.
In this long journey, it made us cry, laugh out loud, and delivered some epic dramas. Taking a breather from the regular television binges, we have discovered five fresh and extraordinary shows for you to get hooked on.
From romantic tales to quirky narratives, these shows have won the hearts of many proving to be a must watch!
1) ‘Channa Mereya’ (Star Bharat):
Yash and Mamta Patnaik’s brand-new show ‘Channa Mereyam on Star Bharat is a simple story of an ambitious hero and a simple yet determined heroine. While one runs a simple dhaba, the other one aspires to be one of the top hoteliers in the world. The cast of this show is actually its strength, Karan Wahi has always been known for his fabulous acting and his performance as an arrogant customer in the promo itself has us in awe.
Niyati Fatnani, on the other hand, comes across as an extremely simple but voracious character who knows what she wants in life. It airs on Star Bharat, Monday to Friday at 7pm.
2) ‘Pyar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan’ (Zee TV):
Starring Shabir Ahluwalia, ‘Pyar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan’ explores the life story of a musician who has lost enthusiasm for music but things change for good when Radha comes into his life and spreads a sense of purpose in him.
It airs on Zee TV from Monday to Saturday at 8pm.
3) ‘Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai’ (Star Bharat):
Star Bharat’s new show ‘Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai’, starring Karan V Grover as Superstar ‘Ritesh Malhotra’ and ‘Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali’ fame actress Sayli Salunkhe, as a devoted single mother ‘Indu Raina’ is a show about bringing together three strangers, ‘Ritesh’ and ‘Indu’, and a child named Zoon because of their love and adoration for the child.
‘Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai’ is a breath of fresh air as we get to see the ups and downs of these families and a very real story portrayed by talented actors and actresses in their respective roles.
It airs on Star Bharat from Monday to Friday at 9.30 pm.
4) ‘Apnapan – Badalte Rishton Ka Bandhan’ (Sony TV):
Sony TV’s latest serial ‘Apnapan Badalte Rishton Ka Bandhan’ has created a huge buzz in the TV industry as it is launched under the banner of Balaji Telefilms. The series explores lives of Cezanne Khan as Nikhil Jaisingh and Rajshree Thakur as Pallavi Gulati after a failed marriage when their children grow up complaining about missing their other single parent.
‘Apnapan’ has a fresh storyline that reflects on the nature of a mother who is firm and her ex-husband Nick who meets his children after 20 years.
It airs on Sony TV from Monday to Friday 10 pm.
5) ‘Anandi Baa aur Emily’ (Star Plus):
Giving a new twist to the saas-bahu saga, the story of Anandi Baa and her ‘Videshi’ bahu starts with a bang on Star Plus. The dynamic of a traditional Indian family gets shaken due to the arrival of a foreign ‘Bahu’. The cast includes Kanchan Gupta in the role of ‘Anandi Baa’, Jazzy Ballerini as the exotic Bahu ‘Emily’, and Mishkat Verma in the male lead of eager ‘Aarav’.
It is a story of chaos happening in a family when a ‘firangi bahu’ (foreign daughter-in-law) enters the family and Anandi Baa (played by Gupta) tries to get rid of her.
It airs on Star Plus from Monday to Saturday at 6.30 pm.(UNI)
