MRI machine installed at AIIMS Bilaspur
Hamirpur /Bilaspur(HP), July 10: Work on the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) which is under construction is ongoing at Kothipura in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh with machinery from abroad also arriving at the site.
Some of the equipment is being installed. These include an MRI machine, an Anesthesia work station, Four D color Doppler, X-ray machine etc. Other health equipments are also reaching AIIMS stores.
A sum of Rs. 1351 crore AIIMS would be spent for the completion of the AIIMS campus at Bilaspur.
It’s worth mentioning here that the OPD of the institute was proposed to be inaugurated by the end of June, but the work on the hospital building and installation of health equipment will take more time.
A spokesman of the AIIMS said today that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was likely to visit Bilaspur in August. During this, he will dedicate AIIMS to the people of the state.
He said that the Academic, AYUSH, Faculty Residence, and Trainee Hostel buildings are ready in Kothipura AIIMS.
The spokesman said, “The AIIMS is being built in six blocks. These include blocks A, B, C, D, E, and F. The internal entrance of all the blocks has been completely prepared. Finishing work is going on in the D and E blocks. At present, about 80 clinical and non-clinical doctors and 83 nursing staff after completion of two rounds of the process are working in AIIMS.”
In April, the process of verification of papers of 100 nursing staff, and about 20 senior and junior resident doctors has been completed. Two medical experts have taken charge of these.
The work of AIIMS is fully monitored by the PMO. It is being reviewed by the BJP’s National President Jagat Prakash Nadda personally.
Ther HP Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur has recently visited the hospital and had given strict instructions for the immediate completion of the hospital building so that it is dedicated to the people of the state at the earliest.(UNI)
