Seven members of Santosh Jadhav’s gang arrested in Pune, 13 country-made pistols, 8 mobile phones seized

Pune, Jun 18 : The Pune Rural Police on Saturday arrested seven members of Santosh Jadhav’s gang, a key suspect in Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala murder case, and recovered 13 pistols and eight mobile phones from their possession.

Notorious goon Jadhav, an accomplice of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, the main accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, has already been arrested and is lodged in police custody in connection with Moosewala murder case.

The arrested accused were identified as Jeevan Singh Darshan Singh Nahar, Shriram Ramesh Thorat, Jayesh Ratilal Bahiram, Vaibhav alias Bhola Shantaram Titkare, Rohit Vitthal Titkare, Sachin Baban Titkare and Zeeshan Munde.

Though police have already arrested Jadhav as a suspected accused in Moosewala murder, his involvement in the said murder has yet to be made clear in the investigation, police said.

A close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, Jadhav wanted to set up a base for Bishnoi in Pune and has also formed a large gang in the district, they informed.

After the murder of Moosewala, Jadhav had sent one of his colleagues to Mannawar village in Madhya Pradesh to buy ‘desi kattas’ (country-made revolvers) and accordingly, he had brought ‘desi kattas’ to Pune district.

With the help of these ‘desi kattas’, Jadhav was to collect ransom from many builders, entrepreneurs and actors in Pune district as well as in other parts of the state, sources added.(UNI)
