Aurangabad/Mumbai, May 20 : Maharashtra has recorded 316 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, a health bulletin said here on Friday. With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 78,81,858 and the death toll remain up to 1,47,855. Meanwhile, 201 cured patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 77,32,282. The state’s recovery rate significantly came down to 98.11 per cent and fatality rate 1.87 per cent . Presently, 1720 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals. So far 8,06,48,987 swab samples were tested till date of them 78,81,858 (9.77 percent)were tested as positive across the state ,the bulletin added. Meanwhile, no one positive patient was reported across in the eight districts of Marathwada region ,the bulletin further added.(UNI)
