Telangana CM to unfurl National flag on State formation day on Jun 2: CS
Hyderabad, May 20: Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Friday said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will unfurl the National flag in connection with the State formation Day at Public Gardens here on June 2. The Chief Minister will also pay tributes to the Martyrs at the Telangana Amaraveerula Stupam at Gun Park on occasion. At a meeting held here, the Chief Secretary instructed the police department to make necessary security and traffic arrangements from May 27 till June 2. The R&B officials were asked to make arrangements for barricading, security lighting, and sunshades as per feasibility. Similarly, the I&PR department has been directed to install a public address system and LED screens at the venue. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) was directed to arrange for cleaning, leveling, watering, and maintenance of sanitary and hygienic conditions. It was also decided to ensure the supply of drinking water, provision of uninterrupted power supply, and arrangement of ORS packets. The cultural department will organise a Kavi Sammelan in the evening at Ravindra Bharathi on that day, the Chief Secretary said. Director-General of Police Mahender Reddy, Special Chief Secretary ( MA&UD) Arvind Kumar, Special Chief Secretary ( Energy) Ravi Gupta, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, HMWSS&B Managing Director Danakishore, TSSPDCL Chairman, and Managing Director G.
