Pune, Mar 2 :Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the city on March 6 to unveil the statue of Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji and also to inaugurate Metro railway line here. Modi will arrive at Lohgaon airport on March 6 at 1030 am. The Prime Minister will arrive in Pune for inauguration of Maha Metro as well to unveil the statue of Shivaji Maharaj installed inside the premises of Pune Municipal Corporation, said a BJP leader here on Wednesday. During this tour, two phases of Metro — from Phugewadi to Pimpri and Vanaj to Garware College — will be inaugurated. PM Modi’s visit is considered important in view of forthcoming local bodies elections in Maharashtra. (UNI)
