Telangana CM lays foundation stone for two LI projects
Narayankhed, Feb 21 : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has laid the foundation stone for Sangameshwara Lift Irrigation Project (SLIP) and Basaveshwara Lift Irrigation Project (BLIP) here on Monday. The two projects would be built at a cost of Rs 4,427 crore to provide irrigation water to 3.84 lakh acres in four constituencies of Andole, Sangareddy, Zaheerabad and Narayankhed. The Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS) water will be pumped into the Singur project, constructed across Manjeera at Singur village in Andole constituency, initially as part of package-18 of the KLIS. The same water will be pumped out across Sangareddy through SLIP and BLIP. After laying the foundation stone for the two LI Projects, Mr Rao addressed a public meeting here. (UNI)
