Kannur, Feb 19 :Two persons including a woman were killed and five others suffered minor injuries when a car in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary lorry in the wee hours on Saturday. According to police, the deceased were identified as O K Prajul (34) of Alavil, who is the owner of a hotel at JS Paul junction in Kannur town and Poornima (30) of Chirakkal, wife of Bipin, who is the proprietor of another hotel located near Kannur sub jail. Seven members of the two family from Kannur, including their three children, were returning to their homes after visiting Mookambika temple in Karnataka State. Five passengers in the car suffered minor injuries. The incident took place around 0230 hrs. (UNI)
