Aurangabad / Mumbai, Feb 9 : Maharashtra Today reported 7,142 new Covid-19 patients and 92 fatalities in a single day, taking the state’s cumulative case tally to 78,23,315 and the toll to 1,43,247, respectively, a health bulletin of the state government said. However, with no single fresh case of new Omicron variant being spotted in the state today, the count of this cases remain unchanged at 3,334. On the other hand, 20,222 patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 75,93,291. The state’s recovery rate further improved to 97.06 per cent while the fatality rate was unchanged at 1.83 per cent. There are now 82,893 active cases in the state, added the bulletin.(UNI)
