Aurangabad Congress demands action against educational institutes in Karnataka for opposing hijab

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Feb 9 : The Minorities cell of the City and District Congress Committee Today submitted a memorandum to President Ram Nath Kovind demanding that action should be taken against schools and colleges in Karnataka for opposing hijab. A delegation of the party leaders, led by Marathwada Minorities Division chairman Ahmed Chaus and Aurangabad City District Congress Committee president Hisham Osmani, submitted the memorandum to the President through the district collector. In the memorandum, they stated that the saffron-clad fundamentalist youths opposed the hijab and insulted the tricolour, demanding that a charge of treason be filed against them, the Karnataka government be dismissed and impose the President’s rule in that state, they added.(UNI)
