Bihar Govt to distribute nutritious rice under National Food Security Act
Patna, Feb 8 : Bihar government has decided to provide nutritious rice instead of general rice to the beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act in the state. A Cabinet meeting led by Nitish Kumar took the decision on Tuesday. To ensure that Bihar state food and civil supply corporation is able to provide nutritious rice, the cabinet gives its approval for the purchase and distribution of nutritious rice. In addition, the cabinet approved the syllabus prepared by the Munger Yoga school for the under-construction Yoga centre in Shastri Nagar, Patna. Munger Yoga Centre or its authorized representative will run the Bihar School of Yoga Ganga Darshan Fort free of charge. The cabinet sanctioned 32 posts for administrative purposes in Bihar Health Science University. The cabinet also gave its administrative approval to release Rs 72 crore 82 lakh 49 thousand for building construction for women Swabhiman Special Armed Police Force.(UNI)
