Maha: Marathwada logs 898 fresh Covid cases
Aurangabad, Feb 7:The Marathwada region of Maharashtra has recorded 898 fresh Covid-19 cases and 10 deaths in the past 24 hours, health authorities said Today. Reports collected by UNI from the all district headquarters stated that of eight districts in the region, Latur district was worst affected recorded highest 134 cases and 2 deaths followed by Hingoli had 129 cases and 2 deaths, Nanded district reported 127 cases and 2 deaths, Aurangabad had 198 cases and single death, Jalna had 88 cases and single death, Beed had 48 cases and single death, Parbhani had 46 cases and single death and Osmanabad had 128 cases, they added. Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 9,666 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 78,03,700. The state also registered 66 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,43,074. Meanwhile,25,175 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 75,38,611 the recovery rate currently stands at 96.60 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.83 per cent. At present, there are 1,18,076 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said. While, no one fresh case of new variant Omicron was spotted in the state. Hence the tally of Omicron remain up to 3334. While 2023 patient’s were cured so far, they added.(UNI)
