UAE Minister to inaugurate ‘Kerala Pavilion’
Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 2 :Abu Dhabi Royal family member and UAE Minister of Culture and Youth Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan will inaugurate the ‘Kerala Pavilion’ in the Dubai Expo on February 4. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is in UAE to attend the inaugural ceremony of the Kerala Pavilion and meet investors to invite them to invest in various projects in Kerala, informed that the Royal family member will attend the event as a chief guest. He was also given a rousing reception on his arrival at the Abu Dhabi Palace on Tuesday, an official release said last night. The Chief Minister was received by Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and his son and Minister of state in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. Mr Vijayan also tweeted that “Thank you for accepting our invitation to inaugurate the Kerala Pavilion in @expo2020Dubai. Grateful for UAE’s enduring support to Kerala’s development. He was also accompanied by UAE-based Kerala businessman and Lulu Group Chairman Yusuf Ali MA. Earlier, the Chief Minister said he met UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri who informed that two lakh new jobs will be created in his country where Keralites staying in large numbers will be benefited. Mr Vijayan said “Had a fruitful interaction with Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy. Discussed the welfare of NRKs and the prospects of fresh investments in Kerala’s industrial sector.” Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeev, Tourism Minister PA Mohammed Riyas and other top officials will attend ‘Kerala Week’ which will be held from February 4 to 10 at the Kerala Pavilion.(UNI)
