EICT Academy, IIT Kanpur launches 2-week-long online course on “Natural Language Processing”

Kanpur, Feb 2 :Electronics & ICT Academy (EICT) Academy IIT Kanpur in association with EICT Academy-NIT Patna, Malviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM-Jabalpur, is offering a two-weeks-long Faculty Development Program online course on “Natural Language Processing”. T The program is designed to master the knowledge of Natural Language Processing with future directions and hands-on live sessions. An IIT K official statement here on Wednesday said EICT Academy IIT Kanpur is an initiative of IIT Kanpur and the Ministry of Electronics Information Technology, Government of India (MeitY) that aims to provide job-oriented industry-relevant courses on the latest technology to students and faculty. All Faculty Development Programs are recognized as per the Career Advancement Scheme guidelines. Under its Winter Training Program, this two-week-long program will carry certificates for the participants on the successful completion of the program. The course will be conducted by some well-known academic and industry personnel, including Dr. Asif Ekbal, Associate Professor, IIT Patna; Dr. Sriparna Saha, Associate Professor, IIT Patna; Dr. Namita Mittal, Associate Professor, MNIT Jaipur; Dr. Atul Gupta, Associate Professor, IIITDM Jabalpur; Dr. Gayadhar Pradhan, Associate Professor, NIT Patna; Dr. Sudip Kumar Naskar, Associate Professor, Jadavpur University; Prof. Vivek Kumar Singh, Professor, BHU; Dr. Abhay Alok, Data Science Manager, Pagnom People Inc.; Prof Naveen Saini, Asst. Professor, Endicott College of International Studies, Woosong University; and Dr. Jyoti Prakash Singh, Asst. Professor, NIT Patna. The two-week session will cover some important topics like Basic Text Processing, Spelling Correction, Language Modelling, POS tagging, Distributional Semantics, Topic Models, Entity Linking, Information Extraction, Text Summarization, Text Classification, Sentiment Analysis and Opinion Mining and Dialog Systems. The course will benefit the Graduate Students, Post-Doctoral Researchers, Young Lecturers and Working Professionals working in this domain. The registration is open for faculty and students with limited seats till February 5, 2022.(UNI)
