Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 27 : Kerala Today reported 51,739 fresh Covid-19 cases and 11 deaths from 1,16,003 samples tested during the last 24 hrs. As many as 57 deaths were also added to the list today based on appeals seeking its inclusion in the list taking the death toll in the State to 52,434, an official press release said. About 42,653 people have recovered from the disease today. As many as 3,09,489 people, who already tested positive, are undergoing treatment in the state while 54,63,960 people have recovered from the infection so far. Currently 4,68,717 people are under observation in the State — 4,57,490 are at their homes or institutional quarantine centres and 11,227 in hospitals. Today, 1,301 people infected with virus were admitted in hospitals in the state. (UNI)
