Srinagar, Jan 26 : With 79,938 Covid-19 tests being conducted in 24hours, Jammu and Kashmir Today recorded 5606 fresh Covid-19 cases, officials said. As per the officials,1353 new cases were logged from Jammu Division and 4253 from Kashmir while the Union Territory also witnessed eight more deaths due to the infection, four each from both the divisions. At present, there are 47969 active cases in the UT. The official further said that Srinagar had 1305 cases, Baramulla 440, Budgam 803, Pulwama 134, Kupwara 380, Anantnag 528, Bandipora 66, Ganderbal 297, Kulgam 265 and Shopian 35. Jammu had 678, Udhampur 129, Rajouri 78, Doda 84, Kathua 38, Samba 84, Kishtwar 10, Poonch 49, Ramban 181, and Reasi 22. However, 5005 COVID-19 patients recovered, 1592 from Jammu Division and 3413 from Kashmir were discharged. (UNI)
