Panaji, Jan 14 :Goa recorded 3145 new cases of novel coronavirus and 3 fatalities during the past 24 hours, the health department said Today.

According to the daily bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the addition of these new cases, the cumulative number of infections in the state rose to 2,03,969 while the death toll increased to 3,546.

A total of 1432 more recoveries were also reported in the past 24 hours, taking the number of recovered cases in the state to 1,81,826.

Recovery rate in the state currently stands at 89.14 per cent.

Today, 3120 patients were advised home isolation, 25 were admitted to hospitals while 17 were discharged.

During the same period, as many as 8043 new samples were tested, taking the number of tests conducted in the state so far to 17,15,060

Currently, the state houses 18,597 active COVID-19 cases.(UNI)
