Panaji, Jan 11 : Goa has recorded 2,476 new cases of novel coronavirus and 4 deaths during the past 24 hours, the health department said Today.

According to the daily bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the addition of these new cases, the cumulative number of infections in the state rose to 1,93,977 while the death toll increased to 3,537.

A total of 592 more recoveries were also reported during the past 24 hours, taking the number of recovered cases in the state to 1,78,421.

Recovery rate in the state currently stands at 91.98 per cent.

Today, 2449 patients were advised home isolation, 27 were admitted to hospitals while 15 were discharged.

During the same period, as many as 8153 new samples were tested, taking the number of tests conducted in the state so far to 16,87,763.

Currently, the state houses 12019 active COVID-19 cases.(UNI)
