KEC International bags Rs 1,025 cr order

Mumbai, Jan 7 : Global engineering firm KEC International Today  said it has bagged new orders worth Rs 1,025 crore across its various businesses both in the domestic and international markets.

In its transmission and distribution business, the company secured contracts for T&D projects in India and the Middle East.

In India, the company bagged a 400 KV transmission line and 400/220 KV substation order from a leading private developer under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding route while it received a 380 KV transmission line order from Saudi Electricity Co (SEC) in the Middle East.

Its railways business has secured an order for 2 x 25 kV overhead electrification (OHE) and associated works for speed upgradation in India while it has secured an order for infra works in the metals and mining segment in the country.

The company’s oil and gas pipelines business has secured an order for laying of a slurry pipeline and associated works in India, while the cables division has secured orders for various types of cables in India and overseas.

Its smart infra segment has secured an order as Master System Integrator (MSI) for Smart City Components for three smart cities in India.

Commenting on the development, KEC International MD and CEO Vimal Kejriwal said: “Our order book continues to grow on the backdrop of orders secured across all our business verticals. With these orders, our YTD order intake surpasses Rs 13,000 crore, with a staggering growth of two times vis-à-vis last year.”(UNI)
