BJP chief arrives in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 4 : BJP national President J P Nadda reached the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad near Hyderabad Today  evening.

He reached the city to participate in a rally. However, the police has not given him permission to hold the rally in view of rising cases of Covid-19.

A large number of the party leaders and cadre welcomed him at the airport amid tight security arrangements.

On arrival at the airport, police officials briefed him about the restrictions on rallies. The BJP has planned a rally against the arrest of party’s state unit President Bandi Sanjay.

Citing the Covid-19 situation, the police has not allowed Nadda to participate in the rally planned by the party in Secunderabad later this evening.

Nadda said that he follows all COVID-19 safety norms.

The BJP chief left a short while ago for Secunderabad to pay floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.(UNI)
