Union Minister V Muraleedharan acting as a mediator at night: Opposition leader VD Satheesan
Kochi, Jan 4 : Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan, speaking against Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan during day time, is acting as a mediator at night, Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly VD Satheesan charged Today.
The war of words between the Union Minister and VD Satheesan erupted after V Muraleedharan alleged that the Opposition leader has become the advocate of the Chief Minister to save the Left Government from embarrassing situations.
This was followed by the alleged denial of honorary D-Litt to President Ram Nath Kovind by the University of Kerala due to political interference.
“What happened to Kodakara Black money case in which top Kerala BJP leaders are involved ? For whom that money was brought ? What happened to several Central agencies’ probe against Pinarayi Vijayan Government ? All the cases against the Left Government by the Central agencies were settled. Similarly, cases against the Kerala BJP leaders were also settled by the State Police. So, V Muraleedharan need not lecture the Congress leaders on becoming Pinarayi baiters,” VD Satheesan lambasted.
“Both, V Muraleedharan and BJP State President has become a burden for the BJP itself,” the Opposition leader charged.
“These two leaders had ruined the political space of BJP, which had lost its political relevance in the public domain due to its inefficient leaders,” he alleged.
“K Surendran is rich in all qualities. I pray that I do not have such qualities,” he quipped.
Earlier, senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala sought a clarification from the Kerala Government that whether the State Government rejected a recommendation made by the Kerala Governor for honouring the President of India with a D-Lit.
Ramesh Chennithala tweeted that “I have asked six pertinent questions to the state Govt regarding the fiasco with Hon Governor of Kerala. Was the recommendation made by Governor for honouring President of India with a D.Lit rejected by the state? If so on what grounds and authority?.”(UNI)
