Hyderabad, Jan 3 : Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao formally launched the vaccination drive for the children aged between 15 and 18 years at the Urban Primary Health Centre, Banjara Hills,here Today.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister appealed to the parents, college managements and others to take the initiative and ensure the maximum number of children get vaccinated.

Stating that there are 1014 government health care facilities that are administering COVID vaccines to children aged between 15 and 18 years, Mr Rao asked to book slots for vaccination through the CoWIN website in GHMC and 12 other Municipal Corporations.

Stating that the COVID infection cases have been increasing day-by-day in the country, the Minister asked to take all precautions like wearing masks, maintaining distances and using sanitisers.

“For the children, Covaxin is being given. This is because the gap between the first and second dose is just 28 days, unlike the three-month gap for Covishield’, Mr Rao added.(UNI)
