Hyderabad, Dec 24 : The Centenary Convocation Ceremony of the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) was held in an impressive ceremony at its Auditorium here Today.

Mr Babasaheb Neelkanth Kalyani, Chairman & Managing Director of Bharat Forge Limited was the Chief Guest who conferred Bachelor of Technology degrees to 53 graduating Officers of the Degree Engineering Course and Technical Entry Scheme Course.

In his address, Mr Kalyani congratulated the graduating officers on being conferred B Tech degrees and conveyed his best wishes for their future endeavors.

He also spoke about the association of Bharat Forge Limited with the Indian Army as well as MCEME and said that the civil military fusion is critical to realization of the dreams of ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’.

Earlier, in his welcome address, Lieutenant General TSA Narayanan, AVSM, Commandant, MCEME and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME congratulated the passing out Officers for having gone through a tough academic rigor and coming out with flying colours.

He exhorted the Officers to be constantly aware of the rapid technological challenges which is manifesting itself in the modern-day battlefield and to be prepared at all times to confront them with innovation and professional acumen.

General Narayanan also congratulated the faculty, staff and students for ensuring the smooth conduct of training in spite of the uncertainties due to the Covid pandemic.
The function was attended by a large number of distinguished guests, members of the academia and senior officers from the Armed Forces.(UNI)
