Hyderabad, Dec 24 :In an impressive Ceremonial parade presented by the Air Warriors of Air Force Station Hakimpet, Air Commodore Manish Sabharwal, Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM), took over the command of the Station as Air Officer Commanding (AOC) from Air Commodore AS Minhas, Vishisht Seva Medal Today.

Air Commodore Manish Sabharwal graduated from National Defence Academy in Nov 1991 and was commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on December 19, 1992. He is an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and College of Air Warfare, Secunderabad. He is a qualified flying instructor and has a vast experience of flying various aircraft with more than 3300 hours of flying.

During his illustrious career, he has held several Command and staff appointments at Air Force Bases and Air Head Quarters. He has taken part in Operation ‘Safed Sagar’ and ‘Parakram’. For his distinguished services, he has been commended twice by Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief in 1992 and 2001 and decorated with the presidential award of ‘Vishisht Seva Medal’ by the Hon’ble President of India on 70th Republic Day, a defence release here said.(UNI)
