Pune, Dec 19 : The city unit of Nationalist Congress Party Today carried out a march to protest against alleged desecration of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Bangalore of Karnataka recently.

The protest was led by the party’s city president Prashant Jagtap.

Jagtap said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is coming to Pune today and BJP leaders and activists have put up big posters in city to welcome him.

However, unfortunately, there are no photos of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on these posters.

Due to this, Shah’s tour has been embroiled in controversy even before his arrival here, Jagtap added.(UNI)
